The Boggy Bear ladies are expanding our group. We are now going to include making afghans for the children of Boggy Creek Camp. Currently, the Boggy Creek meet at Santiago Recreation Center from October thru March at 1:00pm to 3:00pm in the room by the Pool. If you would like to make afghans over the summer, the ladies will be making a trip to camp on October 23. This is a great opportunity to expand this club activity to more members and to learn or share your skills. Each child receives a bear and an afghan to take home with them and to use for their bed while they are at camp. The afghans can be knitted, crocheted or made with a loom. They can be one solid piece, granny squares, or strips. The afghans should be between 35 – 40” wide and 40 – 50” long. We are always looking for sewers to help make the bears. You do not need to sew to be a part of this special activity. They are actively looking for sewers or anyone that can use scissors to cut patterns. To find out more contact Jane Wiseman (352) 750-6299 or Judy Tilton (513) 404-1566. |
