The club originated with a bunch of gals in the Villages of Santiago that just wanted to get together to socialize. They called themselves The Hot Tamales! As the group grew, so did its popularity for activities and causes it began to get involved in. It began to draw women from other surrounding villages. They changed their name to the Santiago Women’s Club, formalized and became a lifestyle club meeting monthly.
